Description
The hardwood stock carved and inlaid with brass medallions and studs, the silver buttcap, triggerguard and barrel band elaborately embossed and chased in characteristic baroque motifs. The fine miquelet lock with profiled bridle, the barrel octagonal at the breech, stepping to round at the muzzle. Retains its original steel ramrod with faceted button finial. 18th-19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 49.5cm./ 19 ? inches. Condition III
