Description
A large example, with characteristic eared walrus grips, the tangband and bolsters superbly filigreed in silver with areas of gilding. The straight, single-edged blade wrought of fine, actively-grained black wootz. The scabbard wrought entirely of silver, embossed and engraved throughout, with delicate filigree work at the throat. Early 19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 43cm./ 17 inches. Condition II
