The curved, double-edged blade forged of fine Persian black wootz, with strong central rib and inlaid gold inscriptions at the forte. In its tooled leather-covered scabbard. Second quarter of the 19th century. In its velvet-covered wooden scabbard with turned tip. Minor stable crack to grip. Overall length 37.4cm./ 14 ? inches. Condition II
