With iron tsuba signed KUNIHIRO, iron fuchi and kashira chiseled and gilded, tsuka with blue ito. Massive Edo Period blade in good polish, quite wide and long, with gunome temperline and mokume hada. In its textured black lacquer saya with iron kojiri. 17th century. Minor wear, kojiri rusted. Overall length101.7cm./ 40 inches. Nagasa 69.1 cm./ 27 1/8 inches. Condition III
