A fighting weapon with wooden grips and steel guard of characteristic form, the blade handwrought of wootz. In its wooden scabbard with remains of leather. From the collection of a distinguished retired Lt. Colonel in the American Army, acquired while stationed in Afghanistan in 2008-9. Generally worn, grips refreshed, scabbard as found. Overall length 90cm. Condition IV
