The distinctive hilt forged with three drooping quillons and an angular knucklebow, each with bead finial, the massive rhinoceros grip with scrolled pommel and silver ferrule. The very lightly-curved European blade forged with narrow fullers, long back edge and thrusting tip, struck with makers marks at the forte. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard. First half of the 19th century. Well worn. Overall length 102.5cm. Condition III
