An above average example, the waisted shirmani grip finely carved overall with a Persian king, courtiers and children in traditional dress, bordered with inscriptions. The curved, double-edged blade forged of fine Persian black wootz, with strong central rib. In its tooled leather-covered scabbard. Second quarter of the 19th century. Minor stable crack to grip. Overall length 40cm. Condition III
