Of characteristic hemispherical form with russet finish, top spike, adjustable nasal bar, and plume tubes, embellished with engraved bands of spiral flowering vines and heroes from Persian mythology highlighted in silver, the broad borders containing Arabic inscriptions. Retains its camail of steel rings with brass lineal patterns and pointed termini. Mid-19th century. Formerly in the collection of pop star Cher. Minor wear. Height including camail 59cm. Condition III
