Description
Spanish work, the sturdy bronze hilt well modeled an earlier example with large rings, the grip bound in twisted brass wire. The blade straight and double-edged, of diamond section with an acute point. Marked at the forte, AVILA (?) 2868. 18th-19th century. Well worn, blade age darkened and pitted. Overall length 91.5cm Condition IV
