The dished steel guard with rolled borders, supporting a robust, profiled guard with recurved quillon terminals and integral knucklebow, the spherical pommel with stepped base. Grip retaining its original complex wire wrap. The long, straight and double-edged blade waved throughout its length with short, deep fuller to either side which appear to be marked, >> IHMN >> ITIT XX MIMI >>. Latter 17th century. Overall length 110cm. Areas of minor pitting. Condition III
