Description
A large example dating to the Katipunan era, and showing Spanish formal influence, the grip of a single section of horn with silver mounts and silvered guard with rolled and profiled quillon terminals. The well-forged blade with block forte, finely waved and tapering continuously to the tip, with pronounced central ridge and much original edge. In its leather scabbard. End of the 19th-beginning of the 20th century. Silvering worn on guard, scabbard leather well worn, tip lacking. Overall length 34.5cm. Condition III
