The hilt of characteristic form, with flared, profiled brass pommel, wooden grip with leather wrap and ferrule with large, double-looped guard with roped edges and knob finials. The straight, double-edged blade with rust and corrosion. Second half of the 16th century or later. Grip possibly replaced, pitted overall. Overall 87cm. Condition IV
