The first standard Afghan infantry sidearm, the grip of horn and bone segments, with steel knucklebow terminating in a ducks head. The very slightly curved blade broad, single-edged and bifullered, with symmetrical tip. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard with steel mounts. Wooden sheath covered with leather. Late 19th century. Well worn. Overall length 82.5cm. Condition III
