Description
Circular, hardened hide of low conical form with rolled rim and integral molded bosses. The obverse lacquered black, with characteristic dramatic gold leaf motifs bordered in rust red. The reverse retains its original woven rattan grips. Rubbed overall, minor warping. 18th-19th century. Diameter 51.5cm.
