An interesting local interpretation of the voulge, with robust, offset socket, struck with sickle marks throughout and IHS (interpreted as a monogram for JESUS, as well as the Latin acronym for Iesus Hominum Salvator?Jesus, Savior of Man) surmounted by a cross together with a small maker?s mark, the lower edge cusped, with chisel edge retaining much original sharpness. 17th century.
