Description
The grip carved of a single section of jade, the steel bolster finely inlaid in gold. The single-edged blade of characteristic form, lavishly inlaid at the forte and inscribed in Kufic on each side, forged of actively-patterned Persian black wootz. In its velvet-covered wooden scabbard with mounts inlaid in gold en suite. 19th century. Overall length 36.1cm. Very light rubbing to mounts and velvet. Condition I
