Description
Qajar Dynasty. The steel hilt with rolled pommel and quillon terminals formed as dragonheads, faintly inlaid in silver. The long blade elegantly recurved, with expanded yelman or back edge, and etched throughout with Qur’anic verse and intertwining vinework panels at the forte. Mid-19th century. Overall length 85cm. Condition II
