The closed hilt of gilt bronze with elephant grips, the broad, single-edged blade with backedge, etched and gilded. In its gilt-bronze mounted leather scabbard with by-knife. Latter 18th century. Well worn, isolated light pitting, gilding rubbed. Overall length 61cm. Condition III
