Description
A massive example, the two-handed wooden grip with silver wire wrap, the silver pommel and ferrule with bands of filigree. The blade well-forged and quite thick at the base of the spine, single-edged and expanding continuously to the tip, with maker’s stamp struck at the forte. In its filigreed silver-mounted wooden sheath. Late 19th – early 20th century. Overall length 74cm. Condition II
