A massive example, the well-carved hilt of banati wood with finely-woven coir grip retained by silver bands, the pommel with silver studs and hair tassels intact. The broad, handwrought blade with visible layering and elaborately profiled tip set with brass and copper inlays. Second half of the 19th century. Light wear. Overall length 112.5cm. Condition I
