Description
The hilt and scabbard wrought entirely in embossed and engraved brass, with characteristic stands of arms amongst flowering vines with dolphin head finial, together with a European coat of arms depicting a lion passant supporting an escutcheon. The broad, lightly-curved blade with silver inlay to either side. 18th century. As found. Overall length 70.3 cm. Condition V
