A rare form, displaying design characteristics derived from both Central Asian sabers and the Cossack shashka. The bone grips in two sections, with steel bolster, the heavy, single-edged blade with chamfered edge. In its tooled leather-covered wooden scabbard with steel mounts. Beginning of the 20th century. Overall length 97 cm. Tangband loose at pommel. Condition IV
