Of high quality, rarely encountered. Forged of heavy, riveted rings set with forged steel plates in the characteristic pattern, the obverse chiseled overall with Qur’anic inscriptions, with applied, profiled closures. First half of the 17th century. Some replaced rings, some plates possibly replaced in period. Overall length from nape to hem 71.5 cm. Condition II
