Description
German, a quality example. The well-wrought steel hilt with thumbring and chiseled embellishments, grip retaining twisted steel wire wrap. The exceptionally long, double-edged blade of lenticular section with deep central fuller, showing considerable areas of corrosion, thus likely much earlier. Mid-17th century. Overall length 101 cm. Condition IV
