Description

Of classic form, the steel mounts comprising an oval pommel cap and symmetrical guard, the long quillons with expanded terminals and corded wooden grip covered in black leather. The long, broad well-forged, single-edged blade with pronounced back-edge, of elaborately etched Marias pengevel (Mary blade) type, displaying extensive Latin mottoes and the Virgin Mary bearing the Infant Christ above the Hungarian coat of arms at the right forte, with the Hungarian cross at the right, together with addition etched cabalistic motifs for much of its length.
