Description
A massive example, with rhino grips, mounted entirely in embossed and engraved silver. The long, broad blade of characteristic form, with T-back and pronounced yelman, or back edge, wrought of the finest Persian Kara Taban black wootz. In its en suite embossed and engraved silver-covered wooden scabbard. Overall length 103 cm. Latter 18th century. Areas of corrosion toward the tip, velvet worn. Condition III
