Description
The hilt superbly modelled with detailed neoclassical motifs, including lion’s heads and stands of arms, and finely gilded overall, with reeded mother of pearl grips. The straight, double-edged blade elaborately etched, gilded and blued. In its fishskin-covered scabbard with fine, gilded mounts en suite with the hilt. Mid-19th century. Overall length 99.5cm. Condition I.
