Description
With exotic hardwood grip and long, faceted iron ferrule, the exceptionally broad, pattern-welded blade of characteristic form, profiled and inlaid with dragons in gold at the forte, with hardened chisel edge. 19th century. In its finely-grained wooden scabbard with horn suspension band. Gold inlay worn. Overall length 43.5 cm. Examples of this type were worn by the nobility at the Sultan’s court. Condition III
