Description

The helmet with high comb and pivoting visor pierced for ventilation, with rolled borders. Breastplate with central ridge, rolled borders at the neck and arm gussets and flanged at the waist, the backplate likewise rolled at neck and arm gussets. With complete arm defenses, the pauldrons with four upper plates with rolled rims lock to the upper canons, the couters with scalloped edges, the vambraces rolled at the cuff. The gauntlets well-articulated, with pointed cuffs, all fingers intact. Each tasset composed of four lames. The cuisses wrought of a single plate with double central ridges, the poleyns with rounded profile and expanded wings. The two-piece greaves well-modelled, with double central ridges. The multi-lamed steel sabatons en suite. With steel studded borders and buckles throughout. Early 20th century. Areas of rust, wear to straps. Wooden stand with rectangular base included. Overall height on stand 191cm. Condition III
