Of characteristic form, with molded muzzle and breach, prominent cascabel, trunnions and dolphin loops. Retaining its original four-wheeled bronze carriage. Well-patinated. 18th-19th century. Such cannon were popular throughout Borneo and the Moro lands, where they were used on shipboard, on the rails of longhouses and other dwellings, and as part of the dowry. Overall length 31cm. Condition III
