Description
A scarce form found in Eastern Anatolia and the Transcaucasus, especially Armenia. The horn grips with characteristic spiked terminals, wrapped with gilt braid. The blade deeply recurved and bellied, with multiple fullers, with punch work along the spine. In its wooden scabbard covered in elaborately-embroidered velvet. Mid-19th century. Light wear. Overall length 76.5cm. Condition III
