Description
German or Swiss work, blackened overall, the well-wrought skull in two pieces with finely-embossed and polished panels as is typical, with characteristic high, roped, polished comb, and peaked visor and neck guard with polished roped borders. The large earpieces well fitted, with polished circular panels. Retains its original wrought steel buckle with leather strap. Mid-16th century. Minor wear. Overall height 35cm. Condition II
