Description
The hilt of characteristic form, the transitional guard with broad, slightly drooping quillons and rings, the leather-covered wooden grip stepped at the midpoint, the dramatic, bulbous pommel with wrenched decoration. The long blade with rectangular forte and deep central fuller for half its length, the edges tapering continuously to the tip. Mid-16th c. Lightly pitted, leather refreshed. Overall length 114.9cm. Condition III
