A quality example, the characteristic hilt with disk pommel, steel covered entirely in gold and silver inlay, the massive, shallowly curved blade wrought of fine, active pattern-welded damascus steel. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard with silver chape. 18th century. Scabbard with period repair at tip. Overall length 86.5cm. Condition II
