The handforged, single-edged Persian heirloom blade hollowground and showing evidence of wootz forging, with chiseled cartouche at the right forte containing the name and title of Shah Abbas of Iran, ABBAS SHAH BANDE-YE VILAYET (r. 1588-1629.) Latter 19th century. Worn. Overall length 97.9cm. Condition III
