The fine staghorn grip set with hair tassels and elaborately carved with aso and leech motifs, the well-wrought, lightly-curved blade with characteristic krowit projections at the base, expanding continuously to the tip with an elaborately-engraved panel at the spine. In its carved wooden scabbard with rattan bindings. First half of the 20th century. Minor wear. Overall length 73.3cm. Condition II
