Adze-formed from a single large section of hardwood, with distinctive motif at the base of the head considered to represent the frigatebird, from which originates a distinct central rib running to the tip. With characteristic flared and spiked base. 19th c. Well worn, with minor losses, cracks and worming. Overall length 136.5cm. Condition IV
