Of characteristic massive form, the grip composed of two wooden scales secured by large copper rivets, and a brass pommel and ferrule. The circular iron guard with deep rim and pierced motifs. The massive handforged blade very slightly curved, with copper reinforce at the guard and distinct central ridge, single cutting edge and characteristic radiused tip. In its original wooden scabbard with brass bands. 18th – 19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 119.2cm. Condition III
