Description
From Ilocos, the characteristic horn grip carved in the form of a horses hoof and embellished with brass. The long, broad single-edged blade with clipped tip. In its tooled leather sheath with belt intact. First quarter of the 20th c. Slight wear, minor loss to belt. Acquired in situ by Elmer Madsen, VP and Treasurer of the Pacific Commercial Company, Manila, from approximately 1915-1940 (PLEASE NOTE: the photo of Mr. Madsen hunting is not included with this lot.) Overall length 64.7cm. Condition III
