Description
Likely made in the Ottoman Court workshop, with fine polished pale green jade grip, with engraved and gilded bolster. The finely-forged, single-edged blade of actively-patterned black wootz, with large gold-inlaid foliate panel. In its scabbard wrought entirely of silver, embossed and engraved with flowering vinework, the locket and finial of finely filigreed silver set with rubies and turquoises. Late18th-early 19th century. Very light wear. Overall length 25.2cm. Condition I
