Description
A rarely encountered type with characteristic bovine bone waisted grips with modeled central band and elaborate silver tangband and bosses set with corals, the straight and continuously tapering double-edged blade wrought of wootz, with raised central ridge terminating in a pronounced armor-piercing tip. The scabbard mounted entirely in engraved silver. First half of the 19th century. Minor wear. Overall length 49.3cm./ 19 and 13/32 INCHES. Condition III
