Description
From Hadhramaut, known as a gusbi. The horn grip elaborately mounted in engraved silver, the broad blade wrought with central ridge. In its leather-covered wooden scabbard with large silver locket set with glass gems and characteristic long, upswept silver chape, embellished en suite with the grip. Retains its embroidered belt with silver embellishments. Late 19th- early 20th century. Overall length of dagger 33cm./ 12 19/32 inches. Condition II
