Wrought entirely in steel, the grip with elaborate silver flowering vinework inlay and removable cap concealing ransom nook. The recurved blade with distinct back edge high central ridge and armor-piercing tip and traces of watering visible. In its steel scabbard finely pierced with birds amongst foliage, retains its fabric- covered wooden core. 19th century. Inlay rubbed. Overall length 37cm./14 9/16 inches. Condition III
