A rare pair of full suits crafted entirely in steel, very finely detailed, from the close helmets with functional visors to the sabatons, each plate with raised edges, articulated throughout. Breastplates finely etched. With handstitched cloth fauld and breeches, each on oak stand. Mid-19th century. Uncleaned, light wear. Overall height 34.8cm./ 13 45/64 inches. Condition II
