Description
Saw use primarily during the Spanish American war, the robust guard with etched monogram and ribbed sharkskin-covered grip with wire wrap intact. Retains its sword knot. The curved, single-edged blade etched FABRICA DE TOLEDO 1858 to one side and APC to the other, with panels of foliate vinework to either side. In its nickeled scabbard. Later 19th century. Areas of minor pitting and rubbing. Overall length 93cm./ 36 5/8 inches. Condition III
