The style dating to mid-18th century Spain, exported to Spanish colonies until the turn of the 20th century. With fine hide borders and appliques embellished with intricate piercing and buck-stitched on a leather ground with cotton backing. Retaining most original straps and buckles. Belt with brass buckle inscribed, AMADEO I REY DE ESPANA 1871. Dated 1871. Well worn. Overall length 71cm/ 28 inches. Condition III
