An extremely rare and iconic Circassian (known among Slavic nations as Tatars) cavalry saber, a weapon in continuous use from approximately the 9th century until the 19th. With characteristically long, lightly curved blade with distinctive quadrangular cross section and thrusting tip. Retains its very rare original guard. 14th-15th century. Good excavated condition. Overall length 106.9cm/42 ¼ inches. Condition V
