Description
A fine example of the type, quite rare in carbine length. With hardwood stock of characteristic form, the butt of a single section of horn inlaid with mother of pearl. Fitted with a British flintlock with Tower marks, the heirloom Persian barrel paneled and wrought of fine pattern-welded damascus steel, with maker’s stamp at the breech, retained to the stock with a profiled brass band. Retains its ramrod. C. 1830. Light wear. Overall length 68cm/ 26 ¾ inches. Condition II
