Description
Likely Maguindanao work, with carved wooden grip terminating on a round, flared pommel with most original rattan-wrapped grip. A single baca-baca retains the substantial waved blade, forged with a separate ganja and showing evidence of damascus forging. In its fragmentary wood scabbard retained by plaited rattan bands. 19th century. Well worn. Overall length 67.5cm./ 26 ½ inches. Condition IV
