Description
Rarely encountered, the grips carved of bone, with rolled Ottoman-type pommel, and cusped fingerstall to either side. With silver bolsters and broad, deeply-curved blade with narrow groove to the forte and scimitar makers mark to the left side. In its green silk-lined scabbard with intricately-wrought filigreed silver set with garnets. 19th century. Minor crack to grip. Overall length 22.3cm/ 8 7/8 inches. Condition II
